Scams
There are more diet and weight loss scams out there than you can shake a stick at!
’tis very sad and yet, very true….because our human nature wants to have quick fixes yesterday, there will always be people who take monetary advantage of that by ’selling the dream’ of rapid weight loss without exercise. We wrote a feature article about that here.
Luckily, there are always ways you can research whether something is a weight loss scam or not. Some of our favorite de-mystifying pages include:
- How to spot a diet scam
- Diet Scam Watch
- WebMD Skinny on Diet Scams
- FTC guidelines of Weight Loss Scams
- Beware Weight Loss Scams
One really good technique for determining if something is a scam is to visit your favorite communities and simply post your question! Chances are, you’ll get a lot of feedback in response.
Remember, the only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make a lifestyle change! Forget out torturing yourself and disappointing yourself by being seduced by the Dark Side of Darth Quick Fix - you deserve better than that.
Enjoy,
Staff
