Diet Pills Patches
No no no no no! Anything but that!
Yes yes yes yes, I do understand the inherent lure of diet pills and patches - the “selling of the dream” of “instant weight loss” with “no effort required” and all that jazz.
It’s only human nature - we’re always intrigued when we hear about short cuts to achieving our goals!
BUT! You’ll notice that just about every single diet pill and patch has the additional, ahem, information - Results not typical, results achieved when combined with exercise and a good diet.
Perhaps we should say that again.
- Results not typical, results achieved when combined with exercise and a good diet.
Well duh! If you exercise and eat right, of course you’ll lose weight! The pill had nothing to do with that….but it sure sounds good, doesn’t it?

Consumers sooo much want to believe, it’s scary. Take The Pink Patch, a diet patch - one person wrote:
….lol well i checked out the ingredients it seems pretty gd….well if a nicotine patch can stop someone smoking…maybe this would work too? it looks cheesy and fake but i dunno the ingredients seem pretty gd lol well i guess since it costs a fiver i mite jus buy it. x (but yeh maybe its jus psycological) wont know till i try it i guess was just wondering if anyone on here has tried it….
….They do a free trial, with £5.95 for packaging though! I’m going to give it a go, it apparently has lots of other benefits too, so I think it might be worth a try? It’s all very well to say ‘losing weight is easy, just eat less and exercise more’ but some people have REALLY strong cravings, and are even literally addicted to food or certain foods, it’s an eating disorder just as much as annorexia in some cases, I sometimes feel like I have no control whatsoever around food and I just can’t help it, I even feel a positive need to actually over-eat sometimes?! Weird. Even if this is just psychological though, if it works for you…? For £6 I’m going to try it for a week anyway, will let you know how it goes!…. MORE….
Sad….it’s really just plain sad.
Bottom line - do NOT get sold into diet pills. Instead, embark on a lifestyle change and let the weight come off naturally.
