I personally do not see this as an optimal way of life. Your body needs a base level of calories just to maintain your current existence - the energy for your heart to pump, for your hair to grow, for your fat to disappear, etc. This is called your basal metabolic rate - it keeps your vital organs functioning. When you go much lower than that, your body might start to think, omigosh, I’m being deprived of food, I had better hang on to every calorie possible!
